What Happened on the God Valley Island?

We got more information about how the events exactly unfolded on the God Valley Island, and we have broken down the timeline of the events for your better understanding:
The Native Hunting Competition in God Valley
The Celestial Dragons had a tradition of conducting the “Native Hunting Competition” every three years on islands spread over the seas of this realm. It’s a Hunger Games-esque competition where the World Nobles hunt down the island’s inhabitants and the slaves they brought in for this special occasion (that’s how Kuma was forced to participate).
Each kill adds up to certain points, and the one with the highest kills was announced as the winner. The winner was to be awarded some of the strongest devil fruits as prizes. As a result, Celestial Dragons, St. Jaygarcia Saturn (one of the Five Elders), Figarland Garling, other members of the God’s Knights, and the Marines in One Piece were present on duty on God Valley Island this time. They also telecast the event live to the World Nobles at Mary Geoise to enjoy the hunt.
Ginny Leaks the Competition and Pirates Arrive
Ginny, one of the slaves on this island, successfully leaked the news about the competition to the outside world, hoping something could help them. As a result, this leak grabbed the attention of pirates like Rocks Pirates, Roger Pirates, and several others.
So, when a one-in-a-million chance like this showed up, Rocks D. Xebec and his crew decided to raid the island to snatch back the treasure that the World Government stole from them at Hachinosu and make a statement against the World Government.
Roger x Garp Teamup and Kuma Saves the Slaves
Monkey D. Garp and Gol D. Roger crossed paths at the God Valley, and they decided to team up temporarily for the greater good. Upon partnering, this allied team obliterated the Rocks Pirates, and later led to the crew’s disbandment. The unexpected alliance and the Holy Knights saved the day, and this event redefined the history of One Piece.
While this major battle broke out, the slaves, including Kuma, Ginny, and Ivankov, tried to escape by grabbing one of the prizes, which are some of the most overpowered devil fruits. When Ivankov tried to eat the Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu, Big Mom intercepted them and stole the devil fruit for herself. Meanwhile, Kuma ate the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi, and that greatly helped them and the other slaves (around 500) escape the battle-torn island.
The Outcome of the God Valley Incident

Following the defeat of the Rocks Pirates, its captain, Rocks D. Xebec, passed away shortly after the incident. This led to the Rocks crew’s disbandment, which led to the birth of some of the greatest pirate crews like the Beast Pirates, Big Mom Pirates, Whitebeard Pirates, etc.
During the incident, Big Mom found the Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu (one of the strongest Zoan devil fruits) and gave it to her friend Kaido, who was recently defeated by Luffy using Gear 5 in the Wano Country arc.
Another important highlight of the event is that Garp earned the moniker “Hero of the Marines” for his valiant show of power at God Valley island. But Roger’s assistance was completely erased from the annals of history by the World Government.
The existence of God Valley Island likewise abruptly disappeared as if it never existed in the first place. Imu must have used the Ancient Weapon Uranus to wipe the island, similar to how they erased the Lulusia Kingdom, as God Valley isn’t seen on the current global maps. That is why only veteran marines and a handful of individuals know the truth about this incident.
Last but not least, after this event, Roger found Shanks (after getting separated from his twin Shamrock) in a treasure box and adopted him. You can learn more about our Red Haired pirate in our unknown facts about Shanks. Moreover, it is also the place where Kuma met Ivankov and Ginny. Kuma ate the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi, which made their escape story a success and led them to a new life, which further pushed the entire story of One Piece.
St. Figarland Garling was awarded the title of “Champion of God Valley.” This title was likely given based on his performance in the aforementioned competition, but we don’t know that for sure.
That’s everything we know about the events that happened at God Valley. So, the sheds some light on the biggest mystery after years, and we are mind-blown to see it get uncovered. I am sure we will get more details about this incident via another flashback. Thus, we will be updating this article regularly.
